I guess the side effects of working at a desk job are your body aches and eyes blur after sitting in front of computer all day long.
After staring at the monitor for 8 plus hour each day, my eyes easily get tired and my vision becomes blurry from time to time. I just recently got my eyes examined. Even though my prescription didn’t change much, the doctor told me my eye muscles have been strained too much.
The doctor flashed a series of picture cards in front my eyes and asked me if I can see any differences. After only 4 cards, I started to see blurry pictures. He explained that normal people can only tell the differences in 12 cards, while my eye muscles could not reflex quick enough to adjust to each changing picture. He suggested that I look away from the monitor and look outside the window every 15 to 20 minutes. I guess I better follow his order. I don’t want to lose my eye sights at such young age.
Another thing that keeps on bothering me is my entire left side, from the shoulder to hip bone, aches for no particular reason. I think it’s because I tend to lean on my left side while standing and sitting. Now I tried to lean on my right side to adjust the balance. But my hip bone still gets very sore from time to time. It’s probably time to visit a chiropractor.
I don’t get sick very often. But these little problems kept on bothering me. Why do I feel like I have a body of a 50-year-old but the mental age of a 20-year-old?
