Living in LA for many years, I have never been to the original Farmer’s Market right by The Grove , at the corner of Fairfax and 3rd St. I’ve heard so many people talking about it and I always wanted to go. Finally I got a chance to go last night.
Both the shopping mall and the farmer’s market was packed on a Friday night. I went to the Grove once before during day time. My impression of that place was it’s so deserted. No one was there and the stores weren’t even opened yet. I guess it was because I went during weekday morning. Last night the crowds of people at the mall shocked me. Lots of stores were open and I got to shop around a little bit. I gotta go back to the Grove again next time for some shopping spree.
Farmer’s market is located inside a one floor open space area with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. I got to try out their famous Brazilian BBQ buffet and the Southern style gumbo soup. Pretty tasty food~
Of course how could I not try their famous French crepe! After I watched Foodnetwork’s show about this crepe restaurant in the Farmer’s market, I’ve been craving for their crepe ever since. I ordered a strawberry/banana with Nutella crepe. They put a lot of fruits in it. Very yummy~
Farmer’s Market is such a cool place. I want to go back again next time and try out all these other delicious restaurants!
